I attended a Night Photography workshop Monday night and had a fantastic time. Here are a few of my faves:

And Here's To Life....

I'd been itching for some live music, so needless to say I was pretty excited when I learned one of C's favorite bands was doing a concert in San Antonio. The Refreshments (now Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers) are a standard around at our house so we had a great time. The concert was at a fun little burger joint and they played a handful of our favorites....plus Roger Clyne looked like he was having the time of his life which added to the fun. SUCCESS.

One word: Lindsay.....

After the quick few days in Utah and a night in Boise Marie, mom, the kiddos and I piled in the van for an important trip we've been trying to make happen for a while.

Bright Colors and a Thankful Heart....

I have a wonderful job - one I really enjoy and one that takes me to Utah every once in a while. And just in time for fall color? I am blessed.

After enjoying the fam in Utah (for a quick 2 1/2 days....sorry to everyone I didn't see....can't wait until Christmas!) it was time for some more autumn and family goodness in Boise.

Sweet, sweet Virginia.....

Staying put is CLEARLY not one of our specialties lately.

Last weekend we headed east for C to present some research at a conference in Blacksburg, VA. Since Blacksburg is only a wee two hours away from Laura and Marty we flew out a day or two early to spend some time in North Carolina. We got to see Laura and Marty's new pad and meet Amy for dinner. We are pretty blessed.

Then we headed to Virginia and were lucky enough to have Laura and Marty come along. Larz had long wanted to do the 17-mile (almost completely down-hill....a dream!) Virginia Creeper bike ride and with the perfect fall weather and gorgeous scenery we were happy to oblige. At the risk of sounding dramatic I just can't say enough how much I LOVED the bike ride. I absolutely fell in love with it. Hands-down one of the most fun things I've done in a while.

We continued to pack in as much autumn as we could before returning to sweltering Texas. While C was conferencing Larz, Marty and I hit up a local apple festival. Then the four of us ended the weekend with a picnic at a state park. We love you fall. Thanks for a great few days.
