Waking up is hard to do.....

Two months of love..

We've done very little over the past few months other than love on this little girl and I have to admit, it's been pretty great. While I don't believe there are any "bad babies" in the world, I can't help but say what  "good" baby Ruby is. She is so cute, fun and easy to please most of the time. She rocked her two-month doctor's appointment - aside from the trauma of receiving shots - seriously....needles to a little leg like Ruby's must have felt like swords. Ruby impressed the doctor by "gaining some steam" and settling in around the 10% for size (50% for her head!) Now at 9 lbs and 21.25 inches, she is cuter than ever. She loves to be swaddled and loves to be held at your shoulder so she can look all around. Despite having a really strong neck, she's not a big fan of tummy-time. She also seems to have successfully bid farewell to her baby acne and peeling skin, gets more vocal and smiley all the time and still isn't too worried about growing more hair on the top of her head. :)  She's awesome.

More Ruby lovin'.....

Ruby's life post-one-month has found her as popular as ever.....

Ruby had a hot Valentines date with Emmett Schmutz. They were shy at first, but Emmett eventually made his move and put his hand on Ruby's knee. Ruby seemed to handle the embarrassment of wearing mitts on her first date pretty well. It was fantastic as always to see Amy and Clark. They are so good to come to Texas so often!

Next.....the Auntie came! Marie and I have been anticipating her visit for such a long time and it did not disappoint! Ruby loved all the snuggles and I loved all the positive reinforcement about how I'm doing as a mother! :) (Sisters are the best!) We had so much fun together and I think it's safe to say that everyone was sad when the weekend came to an end.

Other accomplishments between weeks 4-8:
Eyelashes!
Eyebrows!
Still easy to put back down in the middle of the night (I know I mentioned it in another post...but it's so great it bears repeating!)
Requiring more help to go down for naps during the day
Most importantly....SMILES!

I'm so glad when Daddy comes home.....

Remember how I used to post regularly on this blog? Yikes. It is officially time to get back in the blogging swing! Ruby's been busy being super cute and meeting lots of people who love her. It's not a bad life I tell you.
