Saying goodbye.....

Our last few months, weeks and days in Texas were busy - in that good full-of-meaning and memories kind of way. We spent every spare moment we could eating our favorite foods and hanging out with our favorite people - desperate to soak up every last bit of our current phase of life that we could. Here are just a handful of highlights.

We visited both Lost Maples and Enchanted Rock with the Currits. Ruby did a great job as we hiked around and the views were gorgeous, but the highlight was definitely the company.

Fun hikes were just one of many good times with these folks. How we miss them!

True, true friends.

It was such a blessing to go through the PhD program with these fine people. Not only were they great colleagues, but great friends!

It was so fun to have the opportunity to live close to cousins! We enjoyed a lot of fun get-togethers - especially when we got together to play Z!

I sure miss lunches with these ladies!
As Ingoldsby's we love to celebrate our Irish heritage on St. Patrick's Day!

We always loved spending time with Mel.....and we always loved eating barbecue!

End-of-the-year alumni reunion at Texas State...
It looks like all we ever did with Melanie was eat barbecue! HA!

I loved my time at YSB  - and I LOVE this lady. She is a great friend and a blessing to everyone in San Marcos!

Young love.

Seriously...we didn't even pose them. So awesome.
Jill moving to Austin during our last year was such an unexpected surprise....and so awesome! We met up almost weekly and it was so great to catch up and get to know each other's families. I wish we had had more time together!

Cute friends!

Russ and Chow were our friends from day one and were constant fixtures in our Texas adventure - and for that we have always been grateful.

Heidi and Dave (and their families) were not only good friends, but some of our best barbeque buddies!

The good times with these cute people are too numerous to mention. We miss them. A lot.
One of our last big hoorahs in Texas with some of our favorite people.

Super fun to spend the 4th of July with these folks.
Ruby SUPER loved the fireworks.

We spent as much time as we could soaking up the beauty of the San Marcos river before we left.

Until we meet again.....
