Memory Lane in Georgia...

When we found out that C had a conference in Atlanta, we knew that not only would it be fun to explore a cool city so close to us, but that we wanted Mom to join us! Not only was it super fun for Ruby and I to have the extra company while C was in meetings, but since my Mom and Dad lived in Georgia while my Dad got his PhD, it was also an epic trip down memory lane. We had so much fun exploring downtown Atlanta together and visiting Stone Mountain as well. The highlight of the trip, however, was definitely our excursion to see where my parents lived, attended church and went to school. As luck or a tender mercy would have it, we did our Georgia family history tour on the 9th anniversary of my Dad's passing. It was so meaningful to be with my mom and reminisce about such a fun and important time in their lives. An epic week!

I grew up hearing stories about the delicious food at Pitty-Pat's Porch and it did not disappoint! What a treat to be able to eat her with my mom…and to eat some of the best fried chicken I've ever had!

We had a blast visiting Stone Mountain. Ruby had waited patiently all week to go on a train ride with Uma!
